Church 1823 is a flourishing centre of the Household of David — an unapologetically Word-grounded, Spirit-filled community where young adults aged 18 to 23 encounter God's unconditional love and are ignited to influence their world.
We are more than a weekend service. We are an integrated family with mentorship, creative expression, and authentic fellowship designed to walk alongside every member from their first encounter through to spiritual and career maturity.

Pastor Omisade Emmanuella Funmilola leads Church 1823 with an intense apostolic burden to raise young men and women after God’s own heart. Her ministry is defined by passionate worship, uncompromising fidelity to Scripture, and a deeply compassionate commitment to mentoring the next generation of Kingdom influencers.
Under her resident leadership, Church 1823 has become a safe harbor for students, creatives, and rising leaders across Lagos to discover identity, heal from life pressures, and walk in spiritual authority.
Under the spiritual covering and apostolic vision of Senior Pastor Sola Osunmakinde and the Household of David global network.

Who is Church 1823 for?
Church 1823 is Household of David's youth expression uniquely dedicated to young people aged 18 to 23 — including campus undergraduates, vocational trainees, creatives, and young graduates. Whether you're deeply rooted in faith or just curious about God, you have an open seat here.
What should I wear to service?
Come as you are! From hoodies, sneakers, and casual tees to smart-casual wear, we embrace individuality and authenticity. God looks at the heart, not the dress code.
Where is Church 1823 located in Lagos?
We meet at the Household of David Centre in Lagos, with special pop-up worship experiences across major campus hubs (such as Silverbird Cinemas Ikeja City Mall). Follow our Instagram @church_1823 for exact weekly venue announcements and transit schedules!
How can I join a service unit or volunteer?
We love volunteers! You can serve in Choir (The Levites), Media & Livestream, Tech & Design, Ushering, Protocol, Hospitality, or Creative Arts. Simply approach our Welcome Team after any Sunday service or DM us on Instagram @church_1823.
What if I am in school out-of-town or outside Nigeria?
You never have to miss out! All our services are streamed live globally via live.householdofdavid.org and YouTube. We also host digital cell groups, midweek accountability circles, and virtual prayer chains for students everywhere.
